Amp the coziness of your space by hanging string lights or neon lights over your bed or around a window. String lights add a warm glow and inviting ambiance to the room and are the perfect background for some selfies!

Another fun idea with a vintage vibe, cute neon lights add color and interest to your walls or desk. Right now, Target has some in fun colors and trendy themes such as tropical palms, flamingos, toucans, and pineapples. Their light boxes are especially neat with neon letters you can use to customize your message.  

DORM DECOR: ADD FLUFFY PILLOWS

Every dorm room needs a ton of cute fluffy pillows and plush throws to keep you warm and cozy at night. I also love printed pillows that you can add your favorite quote or your initials on! You can never have too many pillows and throws to create a collection by adding ones you find along the way and can’t live without. Mix patterns, fabrics, and colors for a visual and textural treat.

I love this room by @bedsandbedsroom; it’s such a cozy and peaceful space. Who wouldn’t want to study here??! She went with mostly white and touches of pink. Whispery colors such as the pink in this room paired with neutrals in beige or white, will create a soothing sense of calm after long days in class or at work. Stringing lights and some pictures on the wall completed the inviting look.

DORM ROOM IDEAS: HANG A TAPESTRY

Hanging a tapestry on an accent wall or above the bed is a simple way to create a headboard and a focal point at the same time! Choose a favorite theme or pattern and match to the color and print of your sheets and comforter or vice versa. Complete the look with lots of throw pillows and a super soft throw.
