Pravada Floors Review
Today I wanted to talk a little bit about my hardwood floors, the gorgeous wide oak plank engineered wood flooring from Pravada Floors. This is a question I get quite often on Instagram, so I’m doing a full review with all the details about my floors for you guys.
Please note that I was not paid or sponsored by Pravada (I wish though!). I like doing reviews mostly because they are needed it. Anytime you are investing a good chunk of money on something your better make sure you do your research…
I always look online for reviews, on Pinterest to see if anyone owns the same thing and what they have to say about it.
Family room after the installation of Pravada Hardwood floors
Sofas: Ikea | Rug: Rugs USA
When we first bought the house and started our kitchen remodel (you can see the Kitchen before and after post here) one of the first priorities was to change the floors. We had a very weird tile in the kitchen and orange oak that was in pretty bad shape in the living area.
Upstairs we had four different types of flooring: vinyl flooring, carpet and hardwood. We decided to go with hardwood floor in the whole house. However, because we are in a concrete slab (no basement), it’s recommended to have engineered wood instead of hardwood because of moisture issues.
Pravada Canvas Collection
I knew that I wanted white oak wide planks (not the orange color that you usually see in hardwood floors). After visiting a couple of flooring stores I realized that my dream floor was not in my budget. Most oak wide planks were around $6-$18 per square feet. And since we decided to do the whole house (over 2900sqft) that was a LOT of money.
One of my favorite houses on Instagram, the sweet Sonja, has the most beautiful floors. That is how I found Pravada floors. I took a look at their website and looked for a retailer near me. I found PID Floors, sent them an email asking for a quote just for fun.
To my surprise the Pravada floors were cheaper than most floors we saw at local flooring stores! I ordered right away. Looking back, I should have asked my contractor to actually order the floors to see if he could get me a better price (not very smart!!).

Pravada Floors Canvas Collection: Matisse Artistique
These floors are gorgeous. They are wide plank (9.5in) European Oak flooring, with a beautiful white washed color and wire brushed details. I couldn’t be happier with these floors. They look great, the quality is really good and best of all, they are low maintenance.
While the dark hardwood floors that I had in my old apartment were beautiful, they would get dirty so quickly! You could see every dust on it. The lighter color hides much better so I don’t have to mop everyday.
Installing these beautiful oak floors throughout the house was for sure one of the best investments decisions we did when renovating our house. And even though it was expensive, it was worth every penny.
For once, I love that we have the same floor from top to bottom (except in the kitchen, where we went with tile in herringbone pattern), it gives the house a uniform look and it makes look much bigger than it actually is. Not having carpet it’s amazing. I don’t know about you, but I take hardwood over carpet every time – less allergy, less maintenance!
Engineered Hardwood Flooring Installation
So here are some of my tips if you are planning on having hardwood/engineered wood floors installed:
- If possible, install floors before moving in, especially if you are removing old floors. When our contractor finished removing the tile from the downstairs, I was shocked with the aftermath lol. We are still cleaning the dust that removing the tile left!
- Make sure to let the wood acclimate. It is recommended that you leave the hardwood floors at least for a couple of days to acclimate to your home.
- Ensure you have a good contractor. The only issue we had with these floors was in the upstairs hallway, that for some reason the floors don’t look as even as they do downstairs. It kind of seems that the floors are buckling a little? It’s not a huge issue and it seems to be getting better (it changes depending on the season, how dry or humid it is. But, we think this was more due to installation then the floors itself as we did not have any other issues throughout the house.
Hardwood Flooring Cost
So how much does installing hardwood floors cost? Removal and installation was around 5K and the floors around 14K. We did the whole house (around 2900sqft), which is a lot of floors to cover!
Hope this review helps you in choosing your future floors. As always, please leave any questions on the comments below.
With love,
Ceres

Hi Cerees! My name is Nicki and I live in Ocala, FL. My husband (of 31 years <3) and I are in the process of building a home. I happened to run across yours and Sonjas' homes and fell in love! Your home is beyond beautiful and there is definitely something special about those floors! I have reached out to Prevada and they have been great. We are seriously considering using their floors and hearing your review has been extremely helpful. We would definitely be taking a chance considering they're located literally across the continent. But WOW! If you have any other ideas or suggestions on this please let me know. Thanks in advance for your time!!!!! :), Nicki Lossing

Hi! You have a beautiful home. We are in the process of picking out flooring and I’ve spent literally 4 months going everywhere and flip flopping between dark and light floors. Just wondering if you still love your light floors and how are they holding up? Thank you!

Hi Sonia! Love my floors, one of the best investments we made, the light floors are much less upkeep. Dark shows a lot more dust etc (I had dark on previous home). I love these floors, they are holding up great w two kids. I have no pets tho ๐
Jersey girl here and I am using your kitchen reno for inspo! Itโs just gorgeous! How did you make the hardwood floors blend with the herringbone tile? Beginning a renovation and have to decide the downstairs flooring and whether I want the kitchen all the same (wood) or time. Would love to see a picture of the floors next to each other!! Thank you so much!

Hi Alicia! Send me a msg or a dm on Instagram and I can send you pics! On one side we went straight from wood to tile, on another I used a brass trim! ๐
Hi Ceres,
I have been searching up for Pravada references but havenโt found that many. I am so glad to find your post. Your kitchen and living are gorgeous with modern trend and I absolutely love it. I am also interested in Artistique Collection with Atelier but there is no sample available at local dealer so I am waiting for it to be shipped from manufacturer. Just wondering if you still like your floor and is it still holding good? What type of installation glue, nail or float did you use? I am also a family of 4 and have no pet. Thanks.

Hi Helen! We love our floors! They are amazing. They used glue on the first floor as it was cement and nails + glue on second floor. Canโt go wrong with these floors! ๐๐
