Welcome back to my pink Christmas wonderland! Today I’m talking about how I decorate my pink Christmas tree.
I have done a Christmas pink tree for the past four years. However, as a blogger I always have to try to change things up and bring something new. After all, no one wants to see the same thing over and over again 😂.
But things can get a bit expensive if every year you change everything, right?! So my challenge this year was to use my old Christmas decor but in a different way.

The only new things I added this year was the larger ornaments and the ribbon. These two things gave the tree a whole different look!
Now, I wanted to talk a little bit about how I go about decorating the tree. There is definitely a formula to trimming the tree ladies, and is pretty simple to!
How to decorate a Christmas tree like a pro:
1. Fluff your tree. This is a very important step. I spend a good amount of time opening the tree to make sure is fluffy and full. Make sure to separate each branch to get a full tree. Because I’m using feather garland, I like to add it first. But if you are using a more delicate garland save it for last.
2. So what goes on the Christmas tree first? I always start with the larger ornaments. In the picture above you can see how I distribute the ornaments. Starting from the top and making my way to the bottom. I also added my large poinsettias. Again, making sure is well distributed on the tree. I used six large ornaments and four poinsettias.
3. Next add your medium ornaments. Use them to fill any spaces on the tree. Distributing evenly through out the tree. I used around twenty medium ornaments.
4. After my medium ornaments I add my special ones. These are the ornaments I have been collecting for the past years, like my donuts & candy ornaments. These are what makes my tree special to me and shows my personality.
5. Lastly, I add the little ornaments. Step back multiple times to check for any spaces that need attention.
6. After all the ornaments are in, I add the picks. For this tree I used glitter stardust ornaments and some little glitter birds from Walmart instead. Because I already had so much with the ribbons I didn’t feel that I need to add more picks.
7. The last step is the ribbons. This is my first time using it. I’m not a big fan of ribbons, but I wanted to add a little more dimension to my tree. For this pink Christmas tree I was inspired by the girls love for tutus and princess dresses lol. I used six little bunches of pink tule topped with a glitter ribbon on top. Instead of adding the ribbons randomly around the tree, I placed each one close to the larger ornaments.
I have to say I love the ribbons! They really added a special touch to this rose Christmas tree.
