Today I’m sharing the plans for the girls French Inspired bathroom remodel as well as some pictures of the before and the progress!!
I’m so excited to finally have this project started. We have been living with just one working bathroom (the master has been leaking since day one). And a couple months ago we noticed that the girls bathroom was also leaking! The worst is that the leak is on top of our new kitchen.
So instead of renovating the master bathroom we had to tackle the girls bathroom to take care of the leak. Thankfully the leak has not caused any damaged yet.
A French Inspired Bathroom
My dream for the girls bathroom is to look like a gorgeous Parisian bathroom, I love the understated and sophisticated look of Parisian decor! So here is my mood board and some pictures that have inspired this design.
Now I have not yet decided on the mirror, so I will share my top choices here. I’m between the Venetian mirror and the more simple Venetian mirror. Though I like all three mirrors a lot 🤪. Which one is your favorite?
The tile I chose is the 4×12 Carrara Marble (for shower walls) and the La Fluer tile (for floor), both from MSI. I have MSI countertops in my kitchen, their quality is outstanding. I’m in love with the floor tile! I think it will look so pretty, different – yet classic.
My only concern with the Venetian mirror is that it will look too busy with two mirrors side by side.
French Bathroom Inspiration
I have been pinning like crazy lately, here are some of my favorite bathroom inspo:
This bathroom by Christine Dovey is what made me obsessed with Venetian mirrors! Marble, Venetian mirror + pink just seems like a gorgeous combo.
And by far one of my favorites bathroom ever, this one by Emily Johnston Larkin, I probably have saved this bathroom multiple times on Pinterest because is just that good and every time I see I pin again lol.
Bathroom renovation updates
First, let start with the before, I finally managed to take some before pictures! Is it the worst bathroom ever?! Probably not, it’s just a boring, old white box that is leaking… so everything must go.
The tile in the shower was also buckling for some reason.
And here is where we are so far:
All the background work is done, the new tub is installed and the marble tile is going up! Next, we need to figure it out the shower niche and finish the tile.
I’m loving the new tub, we chose the Mirabelle Sitka, I love the clean lines and how deep it is. It also had really good reviews. It did a lot of research on the bath tub. Moslty I wanted one that did not have a weird anti slip bottom. Most tubs now come with this glue film on the bottom that is a nightmare to clean. I can’t wait to see the new shower installed. it’s a beauty!!
Thank you so much for reading and I hope I have inspired you to tackle that much needed/wanted bath remodel!
With Love,
Ceres
