Easy and cheap wait to decorate your front porch for Halloween! I’m also sharing how to decorate a fireplace mantel for Halloween
Yes!! Finally, it’s almost Halloween, well its October so it means its ok to start decorating for Halloween. Halloween is my second favorite holiday after Christmas! I’m from Brazil, so growing up I never experienced Halloween until I moved here.
I was so amazed by it, the chance to dress up, all the decoration and all the parties! Now, I have never really decorated for Halloween since my apartment was too small and I didn’t have kids. My daughter, Sophia, is as obsessed with Halloween as me.
She has been talking about Halloween for the past four months. Needless to say, I was beyond excited to take Sophia with me to the Christmas Tree Shop to help me chose all our Halloween decoration.
Halloween Front Porch
To decorate our Halloween front porch I used the same foam skulls from above and jack-o-lantenrs that I bought at Home Depot. I like these lanterns because real ones can attract bugs and animals. Plus they have lights inside for that glow at night!
I also added purple Halloween lights in the back of the skulls to create a more spooky vibe.
Finished off with some mums and a couple of pre lit candles. The skelleton wreath it’s also from The Christmas Tree Shop.
And here it how it looked at night after some uplighting! So much fun. I had many neighbors say that I had the best front porch in the neighborhood!
Easy Halloween Decorations
We had so much fun finding the perfect things to decorate her playhouse as well as the living room. I wanted the decor to be glam and spooky. For the living room, we picked out a bunch of foam skulls (available in store only), these are great because they are so lightweight that you can use them anywhere.
I also got these three skulls for the mantel together with these glitter candelabras. To complete the Halloween mantel, I added black fabric and a cute “Halloween” garland all from Christmas Tree Shop.
I added this skull to my coffee table along with this spider pillow. They had so many cute Halloween pillows online, but unfortunately my store had already sold out. I also added two witch brooms to complete the look. You really don’t need much to get your Halloween on, a couple of accessories here and there make all the difference. I loved how it turned out, it’s spooky enough but still very glam! What do you guys think?
A Hunted Playhouse
For the girl’s playhouse, we went crazy with spiders! I wanted to look like the playhouse was taken over by spiders, lol.
I think it came out really good. The spiders and spider web can be found in store at the Christmas Tree Shops, they are super inexpensive and such a great way of adding a little Halloween to any room!
Sophia and Olivia helped me decorate and they loved it. Sophia calls it a “hunted playhouse”, I couldn’t have come up with a better name lol. We had so much fun decorating for Halloween and I can’t wait for her to experience her first Halloween in our new neighborhood…
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you get inspired to decorate for Halloween!
With Love,
Ceres
